  1. One visual makes many thoughts.

The feeling created by being creative is untouchable.

Nothing can give us humans quite the buzz or satisfaction as making something out of nothing and having others enjoy even just a bit of what we have created.

I have always believed that each human, no matter who they are, what they have learned or didn't learn, what age they are or how they grew up, is a creative individual looking to create something. Oh, they may not be creative in all things or even many things but if they discover at least one way to be creative they will push that above all other things as much as they can.

Creative thinking is really nothing more than a survival skill taken to new heights, we must create things in order to live better and prosper so we all have a creative though process inside of us.

So how does one "think out side of the box", because that now is the adage for creative thinking these days, what makes us creative makes us unique and ain't that the real thing we all end up doing just about with every thing we do?

All action comes from thought but what drives that thought?

Outside stimulus and internal reasoning and many times that reasoning goes on automatically. Our brain is on auto pilot most of our waking moments and we then grab onto what we want or need to get through our day and live to reach another one.

So conscious thought and outside stimulus combined can add new ways of problem solving and creative thinking especially when we are dealing with the visual and verbal arts, these are two main ways we use to communicate and we try to do this with one another with a lot of effort.

    So think with more effort.

Our world is now so fast that we tend to let that faster pace of stimulus control most of our waking moments, and many times our sleeping time, so slow that grey matter down, realize that you may be reacting instead of just acting.

Now this is most important when you are creating something from nothing. This is where you create a flow of creative thoughts, it is like controlled day dreaming while a real purpose is at the and of it all.

Write thoughts down, even if they sound silly these first thoughts take you further along and show you new thoughts. Make doodles and designs, let your mind, eye and hand work together to create more complex thoughts.

Now don't worry about the end result just yet, don't worry about perfection yet either. This is just a beginning state of your idea and it needs to simmer. If you feel you have worked out all you can then let it sit and look at it hours or even days later with a fresh approach and a fresh brain. We tend to think that all things must be done with a time element involved, it is the way we have been trained at school, at work and any where else we have to go outside our own home comfort zone, so we must train ourselves to slow down and really think differently while we are being creative and making something from nothing.

Now don't scrunch your forehead into a bunch of wavy lines, just let that brain flow out into the "universe of the maybe" and enjoy the trip.

The photos are just the beginning stages of a new painting. Eventually all these elements may end up creating a painting suggesting a large abstract flower and Goldfinches in different acts of feeding at a caged feeder, or maybe not.

    It is now just simmering.
